PGH Attorney Blake Williams Settles Two Car Wreck Cases
June 4, 2020, 2:45pm
PGH attorney Blake Williams recently settled two cases involving car wrecks. In one case he filed a complaint against an insurance company who had failed to pay his clients the underinsured motorist benefits they paid premiums for under their policy. The clients’ damages clearly warranted the insurance company paying the policy limits. After conducting some initial discovery, Mr. Williams was able to settle the case for both of his clients for the policy limits.
In the other case Mr. Williams’ client had stopped her vehicle on Alabama Highway 69 South to help a friend whose car was stalled. Mr. Williams’ client put on her rear flashing lights. She was standing off the shoulder of Alabama Highway 69 South, attempting to help her friend, when a driver who was not paying attention rear-ended Mr. Williams’ client’s car, knocking it into his client. His client sustained a broken clavicle and a broken thumb. Mr. Williams was able to get the adverse driver’s insurance company to pay the limits of the insurance policy (without the need to file a lawsuit).
