Prince Glover Hayes attorney Bob Prince filed a lawsuit in Tuscaloosa County claiming damages due under an insurance policy which provided uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Mr. Prince had previously settled with the at fault driver for the policy limits of his insurance policy. A timely demand was made to our client’s insurance carrier under the underinsured motorist provisions of the policy for the remaining amount due to fully compensate her for the serious injuries and damages she sustained in the wreck. The insurance company refused to pay, necessitating the lawsuit. PGH strongly encourages the purchase of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. It is relatively inexpensive. It applies when you are injured by another driver, whether you are driving your vehicle or are a pedestrian, and that driver either has no insurance or has insurance but the limits are not sufficient to cover your injuries.
