As summer is in full swing and lots of people are boating on Lake Tuscaloosa and the Black Warrior River, PGH takes this opportunity to remind everyone to please be safe and prudent while enjoying this activity. Prince Glover Hayes attorney Matt Glover is representing the mother of a young woman who was killed in a boating accident on the Black Warrior. Matt filed a lawsuit in Hale County, Alabama against the driver of the boat in which the young woman was a passenger. The complaint states that the driver negligently or wantonly operated his boat in a manner to cause a collision with another boat and as a result the young woman died. He later amended his complaint to add as a party defendant Chaparral Boats, Inc., the company that manufactured the boat in which the young woman was a passenger. Matt alleged that as designed, manufactured, and otherwise sold, the boat was defective in design, manufacturing or in that it lacked adequate warnings due to obstructed and limited visibility for the operator’s field of view, thereby unreasonably increasing the risk of hazard to passengers. As a Tuscaloosa wrongful death attorney, Matt has handled numerous cases for families who have lost loved ones as a result of the wrongdoing of another. If you need an attorney who handles wrongful death or catastrophic injury cases, call Matt or any of the other attorneys at Prince Glover Hayes for a free consultation.
