November 22, 2022, 4:19pm
PGH associate, Coe Baxter, recently settled a claim involving an 18-wheeler that collided into the rear end of the vehicle being driven by Coe’s client. Coe’s client was driving an attenuator safety truck for his employer working on the shoulder of Interstate 20. His truck displayed yellow left arrow lights directing traffic to move to the left lane from the right lane. There were also other construction units displaying some type of flashing light when this wreck happened. The 18-wheeler was loaded with lumber and was traveling east on Interstate 20 going over the speed limit. The adverse driver never hit his brakes and collided with such force that Coe’s client was seriously injured. Coe’s client became aware of Coe and Prince Glover Hayes law firm through a YouTube video Coe posted. After he saw the video, he went to our firm website and read about how we approach our clients’ legal problems. He called us and signed a contract with us on October 25, 2021. Coe, through diligent fact finding, including obtaining a download of the 18-wheeler which showed its speed at the time of the collision, was able to present a demand to the insurance adjuster and negotiate a settlement that adequately compensated his client. This claim was settled on October 7, 2022, less than a year after the date of Coe’s representation and funds were disbursed on October 21, 2022. Coe not only settled the case for satisfactory compensation, he did it in a very timely manner. Coe and all the attorneys at PGH work hard to get top dollar for their clients and do so as expeditiously as possible.
