PGH partner, Matt Glover, recently settled wrongful death claims involving a car collision in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Matt represented the heirs of a husband and wife who were killed in the collision. There were conflicting witness statements regarding which vehicle had the right of way. However, Matt, after having the adverse driver’s vehicle downloaded, presented evidence to the insurance adjusters involved in the claim that the adverse had been going over the speed limit in an area where repairs were being made to the roadway. He used this evidence in his negotiations with the adverse driver’s insurance carrier and the deceased’s underinsured motorist carrier. He was able to obtain both insurers’ policy limits, successfully settling the claim. This claim was referred to us by Tim McCool, an attorney in Pickens County who has worked on numerous cases with Matt. Tim continued to be associated on the case. PGH chief investigator, Ken Swindle, also helped Matt gather information and evidence that enabled the claim to be settled to the satisfaction of Matt’s clients.
