Blake Williams, Prince Glover Hayes Attorney, Hired as Local Counsel in 18-Wheeler Wreck Case
December 1, 2023, 12:32pm
PGH attorney Blake Williams was hired to serve as local counsel on a case by an attorney group based out of Atlanta, GA. The attorney group needed a local Tuscaloosa attorney to join their team and asked Blake to do that. Blake and the Atlanta-based team filed a lawsuit against a trucking company and two individual defendants. Blake’s clients were severely and permanently injured when the vehicle in which they were traveling was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler being operated by one of the defendants. The defendant driver was performing service for the defendant trucking company.
After filing the lawsuit, Blake and the team started working through the discovery process and pushing for answers and documents from the defendants. This allowed the team to learn many facts that improved the case. After that, Blake’s clients testified by deposition about what happened to them and their injuries. The facts learned in discovery, along with our clients’ deposition testimony, put the case in a good position to discuss settlement. Fortunately, the team was able to resolve the case at that point for the available insurance policy limits.
The attorneys at PGH are thankful that so many attorneys across the southeast have trusted us to assist them with their cases whether by referral or association as local counsel.
