The year 2023, though full of challenges, was a good one for PGH and our clients!
Prince Glover Hayes settled 124 cases in 2023. The case breakdown was as follows: 11 truck wreck (18-wheeler) cases; 75 car wreck cases; 3 insurance bad faith; 6 breach of contract; 5 mass torts/class actions; 1 environmental; 3 medical malpractice; 6 personal injury; 2 negligence; 3 slip and fall and 6 worker’s compensation.
The majority of our caseload settled this past year involves vehicular accidents and the resulting injuries, and all the attorneys handle these cases. Matt Glover handles the majority of the insurance bad faith and breach of contract cases. Josh Hayes leads the firm’s mass torts and class action efforts. Bob Prince represents our clients with environmental claims. Coe Baxter and Blake Williams, newly named firm partners, have substantial caseloads and are exceptionally hard workers and very accomplished attorneys. In January 2024, the firm welcomed a new associate, Grace Prince who has already been working on numerous car wreck cases and is assisting the partners in two class actions and other pending cases.
As a result of the outstanding work of the exceptional attorneys and the support and assistance of the talented staff, PGH produced almost $19,000,000.00 in settlements in 2023. Over and above this amount, we were a key part of the legal team that successfully represented the State of Alabama as well as several local governments within the state. To date, settlements totaling over $720,000,000 have been recovered in that litigation.
The attorneys at PGH pride ourselves on how we work up our cases. We involve our legal assistants and our chief investigator Ken Swindle from the very start of our representation and they are vital in the process. To learn more, read about “The PGH Way” here.
